Gas Lamp

This combination set of portable camping lantern and stove uses standard 190g piercable gas cylinders, but with an important difference - it is the base unit that pierces the cylinder, not the top. So you don't have to carry separate cylinders! As a lantern, one gas cylinder will last at least 7hrs, with a light output of 80W. As a stove it will last 3hrs 15mins on full, which will boil a pint of water in just over two minutes. Overall height is 14". Faraday Torch Why is it that torch batteries have always gone flat, or been taken to power something else? Well we don’t know, but we do know it can’t happen to this torch! By shaking it up and down, which moves a coil through a magnet (called an “induction loop”, as discovered by Michael Faraday in 1831), electricity is generated and stored in a capacitor. This is then used to operate the other clever bit of the torch, which is a bang-up-to-date, low power, high output LED bulb. (30 seconds shaking will give about five minutes of light).
