Ans : even the non canvas covered models are surprisingly strong, but the canvas covered models are much more durable.They can easily be repaired without the need of a patch using Stormsure glue. We have sold thousands and the only time the canvas covered models have ever really got damaged is when somebody is trying to do something really extreme like drop down a water fall on a shallow river.
